Cancellation Policy

JN Facility Services – Cancellation Policy (Rhode Island) At JN Facility Services, we are committed to providing dependable, high-quality cleaning and facility services. This Cancellation Policy is designed to comply with applicable provisions of Rhode Island General Laws and ensure transparency and fairness to all clients. 1. Appointment Cancellations Clients may cancel or reschedule a scheduled service by providing at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled appointment time, without penalty. 2. Late Cancellations Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service cost, representing a reasonable estimate of lost business and labor allocation. 3. Same-Day Cancellations / No-Show Same-day cancellations, or Failure to provide access to the service location will result in a charge of up to 100% of the scheduled service fee, consistent with Rhode Island contract law allowing reasonable liquidated damages when actual losses are difficult to calculate. 4. Deposits and Prepayments Any deposits or prepayments made to secure services may be non-refundable in the event of late cancellation or no-show. All deposit terms will be clearly disclosed prior to booking, in accordance with Rhode Island Deceptive Trade Practices Act to prevent unfair or misleading practices. 5. Recurring Service Agreements For recurring services (weekly, biweekly, monthly): Clients must provide 24 hours’ notice to skip or reschedule a visit. Repeated short-notice cancellations may result in modification or termination of the service agreement, with reasonable notice provided. 6. Right to Cancel (If Applicable) For services contracted at a client’s residence (door-to-door or in-home sales), clients may have a 3-day right to cancel under Rhode Island Home Solicitation Sales Act. This right applies only where legally required and does not apply to emergency or immediately performed services. 7. Access to Property Clients are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property. If our team cannot access the premises or conditions are unsafe: The appointment may be treated as a no-show, and Applicable fees may be charged. 8. Emergency and Force Majeure Cancellation fees may be waived at the discretion of JN Facility Services in cases involving: Medical emergencies Severe weather events Government orders or emergencies Other circumstances beyond the client’s control
